    Dr. Buchanan-Cummings is a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner with 18 years of experience in the Department of Veterans Affairs Healthcare System. She has for 24 years treated patients in Critical Care, Substance Use Disorder, General Mental Health, and Post-traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).

     

    Dr. Buchanan-Cummings strives to meet each client's needs through effective empathetic communication and personalized evidence-based care. Her clients are provided with a safe and supportive environment during each confidential one-on-one session, and a customized treatment plan is developed based on their individual goals. She is licensed in multiple states below.

     

    Dr. Buchanan-Cummings is skilled at psychiatric evaluations, treatment, and medication management. She specializes in anxiety, depression, substance use, schizophrenia spectrum, post-traumatic stress disorder, bipolar disorder, and other mental health disorders.
